The Three Doshas

Ayurveda views health through Vata, Pitta and Kapha — each unique, each needing balance.

🌬️
Vata
Air + space. Governs movement, creativity and flexibility. When high: anxiety, dryness and insomnia.
🔥
Pitta
Fire + water. Governs digestion, metabolism and ambition. When high: irritability, acidity and overheating.
🌿
Kapha
Earth + water. Governs structure, stability and immunity. When high: heaviness, congestion and lethargy.

Foods, Lifestyle and Seasonal Support

Daily food and rhythm can dramatically improve balance.

🥣
Vata Diet
Warm, moist, oily, grounding foods. Think soups, stews, root vegetables, ghee and cooked grains.
🥬
Pitta Diet
Cool, calming, less spicy foods. Sweet fruits, leafy greens, cucumber, coconut and plenty of hydration.
🍲
Kapha Diet
Light, dry, warming foods. Smaller portions, plenty of spices, legumes and regular fasting windows.
🌦️
Seasonal Rhythms
Vata rises in autumn, Pitta in summer and Kapha in spring. Adjust food, sleep and exercise with the seasons.
🕉️
Prakriti vs Vikruti
Prakriti is your birth constitution; Vikruti is your current imbalance.

Personalised Plan
A proper Ayurvedic plan uses your constitution, digestion, sleep, emotions and routine — not a generic list.

How Doshas Change With the Seasons

The same person may need different care in summer than in winter. Ayurveda is dynamic, not static.

Autumn / Early Winter
Focus on warmth, stability and rest. Prioritise soups, ghee, regular routine and calm environments.
Summer / Hot Season
Focus on cooling, moderation and hydration. Choose lighter meals and reduce intense competition.
Spring / Late Winter
Focus on movement, stimulation and lightness. Reduce heavy food, sleep less and exercise more.
🧪
Prakriti vs Vikruti
Prakriti is your natural constitution at birth. Vikruti is the imbalance currently active. The goal is to restore your natural state of balance.
💡
Why This Matters
If you treat the wrong dosha, symptoms may improve temporarily but the root imbalance remains.
